CD-V717 Civil Defense radiological survey meter. This is not a geiger counter, it measures high level gamma radiation. The bottom compartment opens revealing a detachable ionization chamber with a 25′ cable spool for remote readings. Comes with original instruction manual and shoulder strap. These are not “new” as this model was only built in 1964 but obviously were never used for their intended purpose.  They will have various levels of storage wear but are tested for a proper circuit check.
